Luxury Home CleaningWhen you start to notice your home looking a little dirty you have the tendency to pick up the old cleaning sponge and brush and start cleaning. However by using traditional cleaning products you are exposing yourself to harmful chemicals that are not only bad for you and your family, but also the environment. Even some of the so called “green safe” commercial products can still have harmful effects on your family.

Here are a few household products that can help you get your home into the green zone.

  • Vinegar
naturally cleans like an all-purpose cleaner. Mix a solution of 1 part water to 1 part vinegar in a new store bought spray bottle (don’t re-use old chemical bottles). Vinegar is a great natural cleaning product. It can be used as a mild disinfectant or deodorizer. Don’t worry about bad odors from using vinegar, when it dries it is odorless.
  • Baking Soda
Baking soda is great for soaking things. Hard grease deposits on pans can easily be removed with a good soak in baking soda and water. To clean silver, use a paste of 3 parts baking soda to one part water. Rub the paste onto each item, then rinse with warm water and dry with a soft cloth.
And as we all know, baking soda is great for removing odors. Place in your fridge, sprinkle in the bottom of garbage pails and more!
  • Lemon juice

Lemon juice is great to use in the bathroom. It works well to break away soap scum and hard water stains. Lemon juice also makes a good all purpose cleaner. Like vinegar mix with equal parts water and you have a good cleaner that leaves a nice fragrance.

These are just some of the items you can use from around the house that are safe with the environment and the family.
